Welcome to our 25th Reunion!
I decided this might be a good way for everyone to get involved. Not everyone uses Facebook, so if you want to invite others to join the blog, please do... the more the merrier!
It's looking like August 8th, 2009 will be the date to mark on your calendars. However, a place has not yet been determined. I am looking for more suggestions... should we have a sit down dinner atmosphere or should we just have a 'meet & greet' type of event? Obviously, the sit down version will be more money but without knowing how many people will be attending, I'm not sure what it will cost. It's been suggested that we just all meet at a 'bar' maybe in one of the downtown hotels. Please let me know what you think. Either way, it will be a fun time, reconnecting with old friends and seeing which way our lives have gone.
I look forward to hearing from you.
TTFN.

A meet & greet type of event would definitely be easier to plan. A 'wall' of pictures and little blurps about ourselves to be submitted prior to the event would be an interesting display to view.
ReplyDeleteLong tables set up for people to sit at and a list of 3 questions/topics to talk about (or have them up on an overhead screen). Give 5 minutes to discuss them with the people across from the table. After 5 minutes each side shuffles down two chairs and repeats the process. This is an excellent way to meet and talk with lots of people there. This can be done for a set amount of time to get things started perhaps.
Whomever posted this last comment, you didn't say who you were. Please let me know.

Hi Ardis!!! It is Elinor Tofin. Just wondering how many people can come or have committed? I was thinking the lounge in the Hotel MacDonald,or rent an old cheap hall or BEST... a banquet room in a hotel where out of town guests could stay(and the rest of us,so no one has to drive). I don't mind helping out. If we are having trouble getting the numbers what about having it at a less busy time, say the fall? Some groups even have it a year late. Could it be the whole weekend? Maybe a picnic to meet the kids? Thanks for your time on this .
ReplyDeleteMaybe we can get together?
I love the suggestion of the "meet and great idea" And the photosThere are tons of ice breaker games to play to get to know people
